how to thread your Singer heavy duty machine

Threading your Singer heavy duty machine for first, second or even third time can be very intimidating but it doesn’t have to be! Keep reading below to for step by step instruction.

Most home sewing machines are numbered! Making it easy to follow.

Start at number 1: It is a thread guide. You just loop the thread through to get started.

Step 2: Is another thread guide. So all you need to do is loop the thread around the hook and pull in into the slit.

Step 3: is where the thread tension disk are located. So you want to make sure to pull the thread into the slit.

Step 4: You are going to pull your thread down and around. Pulling it up towards #5.

Step 6: Pull thread down towards the thread guide. That directly below the slit.

Step 6: There is another thread guide at the top of the needle. Just loop it around and then thread your needed front to back.

WINDING YOUR BOBBIN

Winding your bobbin is very easy as well. Take your thread out of the machine but leave it the thread guide from step #1.

Keep Step 1 Threaded then follow the steps for the tension wheel below.

Wrap Thread around tension wheel by pulling thread towards you then around. Ensue the thread goes IN BETWEEN the disk.

When threading your bobbin you must ensure the thread is in between the disk.

1. Grab your bobbin case and your thread. Your bobbin case will have holes on both sides. You will take your thread and put in through one of the holes. Inside towards the outside.

2. You are going to put your bobbin on the bobbin winder located on top of your machine.

3. Push the bobbin case down firmly.

4. Slide the bobbin while attached to the winder towards the right. And then Pull your excess thread up tightly.

5. (Not shown) Push down on your foot pedal. You bobbin will start to spin and thread will be added to it. Continue to hold your excess thread up higher and tight otherwise it will get caught in the spinning. The thread will break off on its on.

6. Once done slide the bobbin back to the left and pull up to remove it.

To Finish Threading your Singer Heavy Duty Sewing Machine

Remove your bobbin case cover by slider the black square towards the right.

To Insert your bobbin

1. Drop your bobbin into the slot.

2. Find the little groove in the front and slide your thread around it.

3. Turn your hand wheel towards you! (Always towards you) Your needle will go down and up (typically only once)

4. Ensure to hold your top thread off to the side tightly.

5. When the needs comes up it will pull the bottom thread out.

6. Once both thread are out. Put your bobbin case cover on, and pull your threads from towards the back of the machine under the pressure foot.
